Measurement of unit power consumption and melting rate of induction melting furnace

a) Conditions of measurement: The measurement shall be carried out in the hot state after continuous melting of the two furnaces:

b) Induction melting furnace, ordinary medium carbon steel should be used for molten steel; ordinary cast iron should be used for iron; other molten materials are specified by enterprise standards or by users and manufacturers;

c) The size of the measured charge should be adapted to the rated frequency of the furnace, and the size of the material should be matched to fully utilize the furnace space and avoid bypassing. The surface of the charge should be free of slag, sand, rust or oil. The charge can be added in batches up to the rated capacity. The weight of the feed or the weight of the additional charge shall be such that the intermediate frequency power supply outputs the rated power or close to the rated power;

d) The number and time of opening of the furnace cover should be minimized during the measurement ;

e) Take three consecutive furnace averages
