The roll quenching machine consists of a fixed main frame and a movable frame that supports the treated rolls (where the key components are made of stainless steel to maintain accuracy in wet conditions). The fixed frame is fixed on the cement foundation, and includes a pit inner rail, a main column and a top beam, and a motor reducer is mounted on the top beam to drive the screw. The movable frame is driven by a screw rod and is guided by the column and the inner rail of the pit during the movement, and comprises an upper movable beam, a movable top beam and a lower movable beam. The movable tip beam is equipped with a positioning tip and can be adjusted vertically to accommodate rolls of different lengths, the movable tip beam being spring loaded to permit roll expansion. The lead screw is driven by the feed and fast motor reducer through the worm gear reducer and the clutch. During rapid traverse, the fast motor reducer is driven by an AC motor, which is driven by the clutch and the worm gear to the lead screw, and the feed clutch is disengaged. When quenching, the feed motor reducer is driven by a DC motor (adjustable speed) through the clutch, worm and worm gear to the lead screw, and the quick clutch is disengaged. The rolls that require quenching are suspended from the upper movable beam and driven by a vertical AC motor reducer at 20 rpm. The role of Fu Lizhu is mainly to increase the rigidity and stability of the frame, and to facilitate the production of the operating platform. The machine also includes ladders and platforms for the operator to move up and down.
