Use and Maintenance of Water Cooling System of Induction Melting Furnace

 

It has been pointed out that the cooling water system is a key part of the induction melting furnace device. Generally, there are three different types of cooling water systems. Regardless of which type of cooling water system is used, the correct use and maintenance should be paid attention to. In order to maintain reliable operation of the induction melting furnace.

(1) The changes in water quality should be constantly grasped. If there are changes that do not meet the design requirements, timely measures should be taken.

(2) Pay attention to the daily maintenance of the water system:

1) Regularly check whether there are deposits in the capacitor cooling water plastic pipe, and open the end for flushing;

2) Clean the filter screen regularly;

3) Open the reactor and thyristor water inlet and outlet plastic pipes to check whether there are deposits at the nozzles;

4) Clean the water tank regularly.

(3) Matters needing attention in cooling water pipeline:

1) The material of the pipe clamp should be non-magnetic material;

2) The cooling water hose of the furnace body is made of stainless steel;

3) The water system is made of galvanized material or stainless steel pipe;

4) The furnace body cooling water system is equipped with a filter.

Taking Taiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd.'s first steelmaking plant 8t induction melting furnace water cooling system as an example, the plant uses and maintains the water cooling system, as shown in Figure 3-3. The specific process requirements include:

(4) The outlet pressure of the power distributor (pure water): 0.12MPa;

(5) Furnace body pressure (outside water): above 0.20MPa;

(6) The furnace body flow rate is not less than 105mVh;

(7) The external water flow of the inlet plate heat exchanger is not less than 100m3/h;

(8) The outlet water temperature of the power cabinet is not higher than 45Y;

(9) The temperature of the water outlet from the furnace body is not higher than 55 dragons;

(10) The temperature of the capacitor outlet water is not higher than 45Y;

(11) The water temperature of the cable is not higher than 55P;

(12) According to the ambient temperature, the temperature of the resistance-capacitance protection resistance is not more than 200%:
