What should be noted when inductive melting furnaces are refined and deoxidized

(1) After the furnace is fully melted, it is generally not decarbonized and boiled. Although it can be demineralized by adding ore powder or blowing oxygen, there are many problems, and the life of the lining is difficult to guarantee. As for dephosphorization and desulfurization, the furnace is basically unable to dephosphorize; under certain conditions, a part of sulfur can be removed, but the cost is great. Therefore, the most suitable method is that the carbon, sulfur and phosphorus in the ingredients meet the requirements of the steel.

(2) Deoxidation is the most important task of induction melting furnace smelting. In order to obtain a good deoxidation effect, the slag of the right composition should be selected first. The temperature of the induction melting furnace slag is low, so slag with a low melting point and good fluidity should be selected. 70 lime and 30010 fluorite are usually selected as the alkaline slag. Since fluorite is constantly volatilized during the smelting process, it should be replenished at any time, but considering the erosive effect and osmosis of fluorite on the strontium, the amount added should not be excessive.

(3) When smelting steel with strict inclusion content, the early slag should be replaced with new slag, the amount of which is about 3% of the amount of material. When smelting some alloys containing a relatively high oxidizable element such as aluminum, a mixture of salt and potassium chloride or crystal stone may be used as the slag-forming material. They quickly form thin slag on the metal surface, thereby isolating the metal from the air and reducing the oxidation loss of the alloying elements.

(4) The induction melting furnace may adopt a precipitation deoxidation method or a diffusion deoxidation method. When the precipitation deoxidation method is employed, it is preferable to use a composite deoxidizer, and the diffusion deoxidizer uses carbon powder, aluminum powder, silicon calcium powder, and aluminum lime. In order to promote the diffusion deoxidation reaction, the operation of slag slag shells is often carried out during the smelting process, but in order to prevent the diffusion deoxidizer from being largely incorporated into the molten steel, the slag slag operation should be carried out after it is melted.

(5), the diffusion deoxidizer should be added in batches, the deoxidation time should not be shorter than 20min. Aluminum lime is made up of 67% aluminum powder and 33 powdered lime. When mixing, the lime should be mixed with water and then added with aluminum powder. While stirring, a large amount of heat is released during the process. It must be heated and dried (800 °C) before use, and can be used after about 6 hours.

(6) The alloying of induction melting furnace smelting is similar to that of electric arc furnace. Some alloying elements can be added at the time, and some can be added during the reduction period. The final alloying operation can be carried out after the steel slag is completely reduced. Before the oxidizing element is added, the reducing slag can be completely removed or partially removed to increase the recovery rate. Due to electromagnetic stirring, the added iron alloy generally melts faster and has a more uniform distribution.

(7) The temperature before tapping can be measured by plug-in thermocouple, and the final aluminum can be inserted before tapping.
